Values & Vision
Diverse and Inclusive Workplace
Scientists come in many sizes and shapes -- we seek to develop a workforce that is reflective of the diversity of the communities we work in and serve. Diversity and inclusion is (and always will be) a work in progress for us. Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace requires our team to be thoughtful of the culture we create, and necessitates the application of empathy in how we hire and interact with our colleagues.
If you are thinking about applying for a job with us please know we will consider full and part-time applicants, applicants seeking to work non-traditional hours and applicants working remotely. Values
Actionable Science
Eagle Rock Analytics focuses on coming up with actionable outcomes that translate large and complex environmental data into understandable and usable products that directly address client and stakeholder needs.
Empathy
Our secret sauce is empathy. Coupled with active listening, we deeply engage with clients and stakeholders to understand what problems need solving, then develop scientific and analytic approaches to solve the problems. Being empathetic as a team naturally leads to an inclusive and welcoming workplace.
Science without Ego
We perform work without ego, by aligning our team goals with client goals and vision, producing works that deliver clients and stakeholder needs rather than our own scientific interests and goals. Projects serves clients, not us. We produce client-specific custom tools, analytics and reports for each project, rather than developing in-house proprietary models and software.
For Public Good
We prioritize projects that serve the public good, and advance scientific knowledge and understanding. We do not seek profit on projects with state, federal and non-profit entities, allowing us to devote more resources towards staff time and respect limited funding for critical science. Not seeking profit on public facing projects enables us to provide benefits to employees leading to a dignified quality of life.
Open and Transparent
We are an open book when working for our clients - our project management style is transparency. Where it's practical to do so - we favor open source solutions, and do our best to contribute to open source programming and open data efforts.
